Many people don't realize that you have to submit an application fee when you apply for college. This becomes a financial difficulty for some families who have college bound students. Sure, there are low-income waivers, but there are a great many who fall in what I call the great middle-class nowhere land. Their parents make just enough money to keep them out of the poverty level, but they don't have much extra income for savings and other extra expenses. These are the people that the great governor of North Carolina is trying to reach this week.
According to this press release, this week, NC students can apply for any State college or university for FREE!
